Description

Style and Protection. Add extra protection to your JL Wrangler, while improving its style, with a complete set of Barricade X-Series Fender Flares with Red Inserts. Featuring an angular flat fender design, these X-Series Fender Flares will open up your Wrangler’s wheel wells for a more aggressive off-road appearance. These Flares not only provide additional tire coverage to protect your rig from flying debris, but they also give you a little extra room when upgrading to a beefier set of tires.

Fender Mounted LED Lights. Barricade Off-Road had the foresight to design its front Fender Flares with side marker and Daytime Running Lights (DRL). The amber side markers and forward-facing, flare-mounted DRLs will make sure other drivers see you day or night, even from a distance.

Heavy-Duty Construction. Manufactured for maximum durability, these Barricade X-Series Fender Flares are crafted from carbon steel plate, allowing them to take on anything the trail throws at them. These Fender Flares are finished in a 2-stage epoxy pre-coating and high-grade, textured black powder coating for durability and long-lasting corrosion resistance.

Bolt-on Installation. Barricade’s X-Series Fender Flares were designed to be a direct bolt-on upgrade using just basic hand tools. Please note that minor drilling will be required for installation. Installation of the LED lights will require some minor wiring for operation.

Application. These Barricade X-Series Fender Flares with LED DRL and Marker Lights; Red Inserts are designed to fit 2018-2024 Jeep Wrangler JL models. These Fender Flares are available as a front set, rear set, or a complete set of 4.

  1. I love the look and feel of the fenders. The youtube installation video is very helpful. The one thing the video didn’t show is the upper front bolt, he never installed it. To say it was a pain in the arse is an understatement. To install the nut took almost as long and installing the rest of the bolts. As others have said, buy the Rivnut tool,Harbor Freight has it for $45.00, and the 25/64 drill bit.

  2. Good quality fender flares. If you have already installed inner wheel well covers you may have to do some work arounds. I had already installed fishbone wheel well covers and they were not compatible with the Barricade product so I had to do some workarounds — i bought a bunch more 6mm nutserts and used those those for the attach points since I could not access the holes for bolt installation.

The flares are solid with good quality construction (not near as good as the LOD fenders I reviewed) and the wiring for the lights are straightforward. I do get a jeep side warning of inoperative front turn signal lights but they work just fine. The fit is good on the front and the rear portions of the flares but the middle has a visible gap if youre looking top down onto the flare.

bang for the buck compared to the some of the other higher end products on the market this is a good value (the stealth ones I had been eyeballing were double the cost for effectively the same thing).

My installation time included some workaround fixin as mentioned above otherwise it was straightforward. Go spend the $40 at a tool store and buy yourself the 25/64 bit and a nutsert tool. The adage of the right tools for the job really does apply here. The stuff this company included for installing the nutserts was simply dumb compared to spending a fraction of the cost of the flares to have the right tool for the job.

  3. These fenders are easy to install, the wiring is plug and play.

  4. The daytime running lights worked fine until I zip tied the wiring under the fender. I’ve taken the wiring out and re done it a few times but it still isn’t consistent. They usually come on but sometimes they don’t … I also couldn’t get the rivets to set right but that wasn’t a problem. You only need one rivet per side (for the front) Fit and finish are great, They are heavy duty and I get a lot of compliments on them.

  5. These fenders look way better than stock. Installs fairly easy. BUY a RIVET NUT GUN! Do not try to install using the tool that comes with it. Trust me. The install video is out of date and they have changed a few things but it’s intuitive. Best part is the plug and play lights. Worked as advertised and no re-wiring necessary. I put DV8 inner liners on at the same time so do those first for rear fenders. Front you can do either first. Overall very sturdy and aggressive looking. Would buy again.
