Spare Tire Carrier. The Barricade Off-Road Trail Force HD Rear Bumper w/ Tire Carrier features a swing out spare tire carrier with an adjustable mount making it perfect for tires up to 35 inch. A custom-designed billet aluminum handle securely locks the tire carrier in place so there is no worry of it coming loose on the trail.
Heavy Duty Construction. Manufactured from 3/16″ mild steel plating and 2″x0.120″ tubing this Barricade Off-Road Trail Force HD Rear Bumper is completed in a two stage finish using epoxy pre-coating and high-grade textured black powder coating for long lasting durability. The D-Ring mounts are welded both inside and outside for extra strength.
Application. This Trail Force HD Rear Bumper with Tire Carrier is specifically designed for use on 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK models.
Please Note. The built-in receiver hitch is not rated for towing.
Very sturdy. In fact, we have been rear ended twice and the other cars were destroyed and little to no damage to our jeep!!!
I liked the bumpers at install and the look. However, disappointed that coating began peeling after about a year or so. Took them off, because they began peeling too badly.
Solid bumper. It was packaged great, no chance it was getting damaged during shipping. Installation wasn’t bad, ton of parts. Getting the OEM bumper off was the most time consuming part. Bumper is solid and looks great!
The bumper is outstanding. Super sturdy, easy to install. The gate however had incredibly poor craftmanship. One of the welded on nuts sheared off just as the bolt was getting tight. Once that was spot welded, and the tire was on (35s) the bolts continually came loose and didn’t hold the tire still at all. I added a second nut to lock the bottom bolt and added large washers on both sides of the horizontal bolts. And then to make sure that the tire couldn’t rock back and forth towards the window, I had to glue down a piece of rubber at the end of the tire post before setting it into gate post. If this doesn’t work, I will have to pull the tire off again and re-do everything but use Loctite. I am at the point that I wish I had pulled it all off the jeep and returned it. Check out the Jeep forums b/c others have had the same problem. Wish I had done more research.
I installed this with my brother (I’m a 46 year old woman). It was not that difficult. And I absolutely LOVE the way it looks!!
