There is no cutting or drilling required for a clean, straight forward installation. With the help of a friend, installation can be completed in about an hour.
Application. These Barricade Off-Road Rock Sliders; Textured Black are designed to fit 2020-2024 Jeep Gladiator JT models. Driver and passenger side included.
I’ve had my jeep for a little while now and I love it, but I’m short and wanted more protection that would work as a step/slider.
When installing, keep everything loose, the front passenger is most difficult due to the piece of frame that sticks out, I happend to bend mine so the body bracket would fit. Start with the center mount, then read, and finally the front for best results.
This works with the existing rubi rails however you will only be able to use the pinch weld portion of the bracket on the front position of the rock sliders. That being said you will need to file down the existing bracket as it is cupped on the edge and won’t make for even contact when installing the new hardware on top. Did it myself took 2 1/2 hours. take your time and it turns out great I love the added protection and the added step functionality for my short wife.
Seems to be heavy duty. Not to bad to install. Looks good. Time will tell on how it holds up.
Definitely don’t make the mistake I made and tighten as you go
Leave a good amount of slack.
They can be finicky
So just to be clear, the sliders/steps work as advertised. However, they do not “work” with factory rock rails. There are 3 brackets per side. Only the front will fully attach with the factory rock rails still on the jeep. The middle bracket is only attached to the step by 1 screw. Therse will in no way protect the jeep from anything. Also of note, these sliders are not contoured to the pinch seam of at least the 23 Gladiator. The truck as a slight curve, are the bars are straight. When keeping the factory rock rails, the jeep covers the bar in sections.
TLDR version: If you do not have Rubi rails, these will work great and are cheap. If you do have Rubi rails and want to keep them, you probably want to skip on these.
