Barricade’s HD Tire Mount is designed to redistribute the weight of your JL’s spare tire across the entire tailgate to eliminate unwanted metal fatigue caused by over sized spare tires. The Wrangler’s sheet metal tailgate may not be the strongest in the world, but with this big, beefy Tire Mount installed you won’t have to worry about any undo stress or strain. Barricade’s HD Tire Mount will not affect the daily operation of your Jeep’s tailgate.
Heavy Duty Construction. Barricade Off-Road manufactures their HD Tire Mount from 5mm thick, hot rolled carbon steel plate for superior strength and extra rigidity. Barricade then completes the Mount in a two stage finish using epoxy pre-coating and high-grade textured black powder coating for long lasting durability.
Bolt-on Installation. Barricade designed their HD Tire Mount to be a direct bolt-on upgrade for all Jeep JL models. As a direct bolt-on, this Barricade Tire Mount reuses the original factory mounting points and does not require any additional cutting, drilling, or fabrication for installation.
Application. This Barricade Heavy Duty Spare Tire Mount is designed to reuse the factory camera and 3rd brake light on 2018-2024 Jeep Wrangler JL models, Excluding 4xe.

Recently had a lift and 33’s R17 tires installed .
This mount works great. The hour it claims was more like 3 hours. All because of the tiny torx8 screws. Tiny little screws that hold your camera on the mount. More about time getting it off your existing mount.
Thank goodness the kit provides new ones, but no little wrench to screw them on.
I feel they could have provided that as you don’t have one of those around the tool box, we managed with a tiny Allen wrench.
The camera comes off by pinching the pink hub that connects into the pink back of camera.
The second notable is the lugs they provide. You will need to use them as your existing lugs including locking hub will be slightly larger and won’t thread to tighten.
Third item to note- make sure you extend the mount that holds the tire with three pins all the way out. Account for inside depth of your tire not rubbing up on or not able to slide onto the pins. This will save you time not readjusting things after you think you got it ready to mount. Also this will allow space for your rear brake light mount.
Do measurements before hand to know your height you need to see over your tire.
Again time saved not readjusting screws.

Make sure you have a torx t8 before you start this! The instructions are pretty straight forward but there was some googling to get the camera out of the stock holder. The only thing I don’t really like about this product is the wire for the camera and the 3rd tail light isn’t secured inside of the carrier and just kinda floats. However it’s heavy and strong. All of the welds look great and I have complete confidence that my spare is safe
Tire rack is good quality, and looks good, The directions are very vague at best, depending on what size tire you have you may end up take it apart and putting it back together multiple times to get it right.
Exactly what I needed to replace my delete plate. Quick and easy install. Nice looking and great cover for the backup camera. Also very adjustable for the spare tire size
I had to buy this after getting the Barricade rear bumper. Even though the bumper said it worked with oversized tires it did not fit with my 35s. Bought this mount and it was very easy to install and still accommodates the rear camera really well. Good purchase and very happy with it.
