Spare Tire Carrier. The Barricade Off-Road Classic Rear Bumper features a swing out spare tire carrier perfect for tires up to 37″. A custom-designed billet aluminum handle securely locks the tire carrier in place so there is no worry of it coming loose on the trail.
Heavy Duty Construction. Manufactured from 3/16″ mild steel plating and 2″x0.120″ tubing this Barricade Off-Road Rock Crawler Rear Bumper is completed in a two stage finish using epoxy pre-coating and high-grade textured black powder coating for long lasting durability. The D-Ring mounts are welded both inside and outside for extra strength.
Application. This Barricade Off-Road Classic Rear Bumper with Tire Carrier is specifically designed for use on 1987-1995 YJ and 1997-2006 TJ Jeep Wranglers.
Technical Note. Some application may require the license plate to be relocated as the tire carrier swing arm may contact the license plate bracket. The integrated receiver hitch is for recreational use and is not rated for towing.
While This Was Not My First Chose, After The Installation I Am Very Please With The Result. The Bumper Has A Meatal Skip Plate That Cover The Gas Tank And Is Very Solid. Cam Lock To The Swing Out Tire Carrier Locks Solid Without Raddle.
These seat covers are great, they fit perfectly and I like the denim material. A step up from the original cover.
I have just installed this rear bumper with tire carrier and liked the tight fitting handle to release the tire carrier. It seems to be constructed of strong materials. Time will tell.
Bought this for the tire carrier saying it can carry a 37 tire. There is so much movement Im affraid the spare will snap off. If you are running a 37 tire I would not reccomend this item. Smaller tires should be fine.
And that’s just with a 31″ tire on it. It’s basically a two and a half foot triangle that only stabilizes at the bottom leaving the top peak to swing back and forth at will. Any uneven terrain causes it to bang against the single rubber stopper it happens to connect with that was left on the tailgate from the previous configuration with the tire mounted on the tailgate. Seems like a huge oversight as there is no way to stop it from swaying back and forth. Lots of play when it is mounted. Honestly just want to sell this bumper and swap for a rack basket and a tubed rear to match the front and sides. It holds the weight of tire just fine but there’s just no way to cure the slap from the rack.
