Heavy Duty 10,000 LB Winch. This Barricade Off-Road Winch is driven by a powerful 5.5 HP series-wound 12-volt electric motor. Featuring a rugged 3-stage planetary gear box with a 195.8:1 gear ratio, this Barricade Winch provides 10,000 lbs of pulling power. Simple, Bolt-on Installation. Barricade engineered their winches to be a direct bolt-on upgrade that can be installed in under an hour using just basic hand tools. With overall dimensions of 21.1 × 6.3 × 8.6 inches and a mounting bolt pattern of 254mm X 114.3mm, there should be no drilling required for most applications. All necessary mounting hardware is included making this an easy straight forward installation.
Application. This Barricade Off-Road 10,000lb Winch with Wireless Remote and Synthetic Rope is designed for use on all Jeep CJ and Wrangler models. A battery with a minimum of 650cca (cold cranking amps) is required for operation.

Technical Note. To prevent damage to the synthetic rope from exposure to the sun and weather, a winch cover is required when not in use.
I had one of these on my 08 Wrangler and didn’t think twice about buying another one for my 21 Wrangler. One new upgrade to this winch is that it has a remote controller. What a great feature! The only suggestion I have is that if you are installing on a new bumper don’t tighten all the bolts on the new bumper before mounting the winch.
This has come in handy! It doesn’t matter if it’s helping someone off roading or someone who slid off the road. This guy will be there to help get the job done!!
Fairly easy to install. Pay CLOSE attention to the wiring instructions, as I did not and almost burned it up. Installation took a little longer due to having to adjust the holes on the barricade bumper.
Engine was completely locked up when I got it. Tried to make it work and the wires started smoking and burning through my Jeep. Had to replace my battery because it blew it. Have burn marks on my grill and fuse box.
And hopefully never will but this has all the features the occasional trail rider will need
