Barricade HD Stubby Front Bumper (16-23 Tacoma)

Nice fit. Can be done with just grill and air dam removed. Very tight fit to put brackets in from underneath. Took me 3 hours Make sure to leave bracket loose then tighten after you bolt bumper to it.

Over all is a nice bumper. I really like i,t easy plug and play .. no cuts no gridding what so ever ..

I read through the reviews, loooked at the video and figured - okay, why not. Well, the video left out some significant items additional bolts on the bumper bottom, and the fact that the fender trim really wasn't that easy to remove. I wound up leaving the bumper on and removing the blister as described in a previous review, that helped out. Then, when attempting to mount the bumper to the brackets, the gap between the bumper nuts and the bracket holes was excessive, the 10mm x 30 mm bolts are too short, if you get one side connected the other will not reach the bolts.

Also, the recommendation to lift it up... well I lifted, rotated, did everything I could but couldn't get the bracket holes to line up with the bumper nuts easily. I can't tell if it is too tight a fit, or just of the wrong dimensions, it is an effort to lift it in order to align the bolts, spent a lot of time trying to get that to happen. I finally managed to get four bolts in, then determined I needed to buy longer bolts and replace them all. Right now, the bumper is kind of "flimsy" maybe once I can install all six (longer) bolts it will be better. The video could be better I have a 2022 TRD and it must be different than the "model truck" used;

I put down that this took a full day, it was actually four days of about 2-4 hours per day. Still not complete (bracket bolts) and I spent 5 hours today alone.

I almost bit the bullet to have a shop install it, but I am stubborn and was not about to cry "Uncle". Had I known initially what I know now, I probably would have passed on this bumper, it looks good, but you get what you pay for,

Had some trouble lining up brackets and bumper as there was a good amount of space between them. Started tightening bolts on one side and eventually was able to maneuver the bumper close enough to start tightening the other side. Looks better than the stock and certainly adds a higher level of protection up front. Great bang for the buck.

Love how it came out, also purchased a light bar to put in it
