Heavy Duty Construction. Manufactured from 5/32″ mild steel plating, this Barricade Off-Road Trail Force HD Full Width Front Bumper is completed in a two stage finish using epoxy pre-coating and high-grade textured black powder coating for long lasting durability. The D-Ring mounts are welded both inside and outside for extra strength.
Application. This full width Wrangler bumper with built-in 10×4.5″ winch plate is specifically designed for use on 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK models.
OE Lighting Note. The fog light housings from Mopar’s Off-Road Bumper found on Rubicon X or special JK editions utilize a fog light bracket which will not fit this bumper. These cases require purchase of a standard factory fog light bracket for use with this bumper.
Like others have said, the mounting of the fog lights is a complete nightmare. Whoever designed this bumper, and the mounting of the fog lights has never worked on a vehicle before. There should be some kind of punishment for whoever designed these for the amount of human suffering that it causes on the installation. Getting those small screws with the tiny nuts into those small spaces which some of them can’t even be put in with needle nose, pliers needless to say after double the time that it should’ve taken and paint peeling off the walls from my swearing was more than I can handle. I eventually got them in besides this design catastrophe. The overall bumper is fairly stout and the quality is reasonable for the price. It arrived in a nicely packaged box and was very free from dents or chips in the paint.
This is a great bumper, but has one significant contractor. The mounting of the fog lights requires a very small metric machine screw. It is very difficult to thread into the bumper and very easy to strip. This could really use an upgrade and if it happens, I would give it five stars.
I had been looking at so many of these before I took the plunge on this one. It took about 3 weeks to get to the shop. They said it took a couple of hours to install due to the weight. I’m very happy with how it turned out. Looks amazing!
Love this upgrade. It was a little more work than expected, but that’s always the case!
This looks like a tough front bumper getting ready to install it. We are very excited for this purchase.
