Whether you're just getting into the hobby or are looking to upgrade your Wrangler with a winch and extra protection, the Barricade Trail Force HD Bumper and Winch Combo Kit is the smart way to go. It includes the winch you'll need to handle recovery, as well as the protection you'll want when facing boulders, rocks and trees, all in one impressive package!

Protection. Responsible for preventing damage from debris and trail hazards, the Trail Force HD Bumper boasts impressive durability with 5/32 inch plate steel. It comes equipped with tabs for mounting up to 2 auxiliary lights on its 2 inch hoop over rider, which will also provide ample protection for your winch and grille. The entire bumper is finished in a tough, dual stage black powder coat finish designed to prevent corrosion and rust for impressive protection and style.

Recovery. The included 9500 lb. winch is driven by a 5.5 HP series-wound motor and is equipped with a 3 stage planetary gear box with a 195.4:1 gear ratio for impressive pulling performance. It comes equipped with a tough, 94 foot long Dyneema SK75 Synthetic Rope designed to handle your toughest recovery situations. It is completed in a Polyurethane resin to resist chemical, oil and abrasions for reliable function through the roughest days.

Installation. This Combo Kit features a bolt on installation! Your new winch mounts easily to an integrated winch plate in the bumper. Once installed the entire bumper then installs directly to your JK's frame horns without drilling or modification. It comes with a hawse fairlead, all the necessary hardware, as well as wiring components to make upgrading your Jeep simple and easy.

Application. The Barricade Trailforce HD Front Bumper & Synthetic Winch Combo is designed for installation on 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK models including Rubicons.

Please Note. This Barricade bumper supports up to 10,000 lbs. of flat-tow capability using the included D-Rings or integrated tow hooks.

First, let me start by saying that Melissa in Customer Service was awesome, and resolved all my multiple issues to my complete satisfaction. Issue #1: I purchased the Barricade front bumper and Barricade 9,500 winch combination. Should have been a simple installation, as I’m reasonably mechanically inclined. The bumper in the pictures had the bolts permanently installed, which would have been a snap. The bumper I received, did not. Instead has the bolts separate in an odd configuration that seemed impossible to install. I spend the better part of a day messing with it. The instructions were for the bumper shown in the pictures. My instructions said; “Install the bumper with the hardware provided.” One sentence under a black and white photo that was unrecognizable. Once I figured out, on my own, how the parts were supposed to work, I got the bumper installed...with the help of a friend. Would have been nearly impossible solo.
Issue #2: Once the bumper was installed, I thought the worst was over...wrong! I tried to install the Barricade winch and two of the Pre-drilled holes in the feet that received the nuts, were drilled an eighth of an inch off center... just enough to make the winch completely impossible to install. I called Melissa for the umteenth time and sent pictures of the holes. She was great...again. I said I was totally fed up with the quality of Barricade and wanted a different brand of winch. I upgraded to a Smittybuild and returned the Barricade.
One small note on the Smittybuilt; one of the nuts that holds the winch fairlead on the bumper had no threads in it...smooth as silk. So, I had to run to the store to buy a nut. Minor thing, but worth noting about overall quality control these days.
Conclusion: Despite the problems, I really do like the Barricade bumper and recommend it...if they can include halfway decent instructions. Haven’t used the Smittybuilt winch, but am excited to give it a try. The remote handheld is really nice.

Great upgrade from the stock bumper. I thought installation would be tough but the hardest part was removing the stock bumper. Winch was pretty easy to put on also. Very pleased with it so far.

Bought bumper with winch and cover. Very happy with quality and ease of installation. Some very experienced friend helped and they thought quality was good also.
