The assist quickly diminished. I would not purchase again, but still want this feature.
Very easy install. may benefit from buyi g 2 to see if sharing the load keeps the hydraulic from slowing things down a bjt too much. Before my tailgate would try to slam down. Now it’s so slow I want to push it to go faster! Might wear down a bit with time, but overall a good purchase.
Hi I have 07 ram and the tailgate is extremely heavy this hydraulic assist is great no more slamming of the tailgate when opened , unsuspecting person opens it and it will fall open with force . Great addition if you are a senior or challenged physically. I highly recommend this product.
