Really nice to cover the pinch seam. Really easy install!

  2. Robert B (verified owner)

These rails cover up the unfinished look of the rockers. Cover all pinch welds and look fantastic. Solid construction.

  3. Linda B (verified owner)

They look nice… just what I wanted. Hubby had to cut down a couple screws so that the Rubi Rail welded on bolts/screws would go into the Jeeps mounting holes. He probably cut off bout an 1/8 of an inch to swing the Rubi Rails into place.

  4. SHARI G (verified owner)

Super quick and easy install, maybe 15 minutes, and is exactly what I needed. Super nice!!

I live in Florida and use my JL Sport S on sand, mud, and mostly paved surfaces. I bought the rubi rails made by Barricade to hide the pinch welds and the rock sliders (also Barricade) to serve as steps….no risk of rock damage around here. The textured finishes of rails and sliders match and as many have said, the sliders can be installed with rails remaining in place. I have basic hands-on skills and completed install of both in one evening. Frame-mount bolt removal and replacement during installation of the sliders was the trickiest part since it is not clear (to me) how the partially hidden assembly works. There are several threads on various forums about what to expect. You will need a torque wrench ($20.00) that goes up to at least 80 ft-lb and jack stands work great if you don’t have help to hold the items in place while tightening bolts. The end product looks great to me, but keep in mind that together the rails plus the sliders add substantial weight to the rig. The sliders functionality as steps are partially reduced by the positioning of the rails due to reduction of toe-hold space.
