With gas prices as high as they are, i decided to get this locking gas cap door. Looks great i think. Easy install. But realistically…if someone REALLY wanted your gas, it would take nothing more than a heavy duty flathead screw driver to break into this. But still better than just having your gas cap exposed. I recommend it!
I probably could fix this issue but I have a grommet of sorts that spins so the door rotates with some force. Otherwise simple and effective door.
Good product only draw back is it secures to the factory plastic housing that has some play so it still move a bit
This fuel door is well made, solid material…it has a slight magnet closure to keep lid in place…It is easy to install overall, however the screws are not long enough causing to be a little loose fitting, I used a couple longer screws worked fine. I definitely recommend if you want a nice solid look for your Jeep!
