I already have the matching front fenders installed and have been waiting for these rear ones to come back in stock for about 2 months now! But it was totally worth the wait… I love how they turned out! The matching set really enhances my Jeep.
*Installation wise, it took my husband and I about an hour and a half from start to finish. The instructions were written pretty well and it wasn’t difficult but there are a couple things to note.
For 1, there is a 7th hole that you have to make that’s close to the rear bumper that you may have issues making if you have the stock bumper like I do. The issue was the drill bit going in at an angle instead of straight on..the hole you make needs to be perfectly lined up or else it won’t line up with hole on the fender. If you have the stock rear bumper, I would suggest maybe taking it off to make the hole and then putting it back on afterwards which would alleviate it being in the way or alternately you could refrain from making the final hole like I decided to do. All the other holes allow for the fender to still be tightly and safely secured so I felt comfortable skipping this final hole. To cover up the hole we decided to use trimmed up black retainer pins on each side with super glue.. and it looks great.
The last thing I want to mention is that these fenders do not cover up the most rear hole on the aft side (near the slight lip) of both passenger and driver side. The stock rear fenders were designed to use this hole so it was covered up with them. It can be seen in most of the review photos others have posted and even in the photos on the purchase page for these fenders. It doesn’t look bad but it did bother me because of my OCD so to make it look good or to not see an empty hole I just stuck a black retainer clip on both sides in the holes. For me, it looks much better that way and my OCD doesn’t kick in. You can see what I mean in my photos.
Besides those little things, everything turned out very well and I am so happy with the final product!
