Barricade Extreme HD Rear Bumper (07-18 Silverado 1500)

Nice bumper so far, but just got it installed so, see how it holds up after a while.
Cons:
1) License plate light is lame.
2) Can't use the keyed lock for spare tire.
3) Electric for trailer lights could've been put in a better spot. Had to move the whole wiring harness To gain a few inches to make it work.
4) license plate light( oh did I say that already it deserves a mention again, don't even know if it is legal as I can't read the plate at night up close to it.

The bumper was extremely easy to install however after the install I found a few spots where raw metal was showing though the stock coating which in Michigan winter has already covered it with a little bit of surface rust. I had to clean it up and cover the bumper with some bed liner, which was the plan anyway. Just take it as a warning if you only plan on buying and installing without coating it yourself it might rust much sooner than you think. As for the install it went easy but the running of electrical took me the most time.

It took a while to take off the old bumper. The new one is more challenging than it looks to put on. My issue is that my back up sensors no longer work properly.

This bumper All around is as good as it looks. The quality is good, the install is straight forward with detailed instructions. I am very happy with it and recommend purchasing this bumper if your looking for a aftermarket bumper. I chose the afternoon for time to install. It could really be 2 hours but I like to take time. But I also painted mine but I dont count that for this.

You can’t use your spare tire lock anymore with this. The license plate light setup sucks. I modified mine. It arrived with some small chips in the paint coating. It’s a bumper. I needed a bumper. It works
