Each bar has a pair of foot pads to prevent slippage, and they are both sturdy enough to handle your weight as you step in or out.

These bars were fairly easy to install. The hardest part was removing the frame bolts from the truck itself. After borrowing a big wrench, and finding the proper socket (18mm, not common by the way) they went on great. Took maybe a total of hour and a half. I love the look too. Can’t speak to the quality yet, but seem good so far.
