Heavy Duty 12,500 Pound Winch. This Barricade Off-Road Winch is driven by a powerful 6.6 horsepower series-wound 12-volt electric motor. Featuring a rugged 3-stage planetary gear box with a 216:1 gear ratio, this Barricade Winch provides 12,500 pounds of pulling power. Matched with a sliding ring gear clutch and a two-way automatic, in-the-drum braking system, you know you can always rely on this winch to hold your rig.
Additional Features. This Barricade Off-Road 12,500 pound Winch features a 4-way aluminum hawse fairlead that helps reduce wear and tear on the included bright orange synthetic rope while also keeping it from binding. This Barricade Winch also includes a wirless remote control allowing you to safely stand clear when in operation.
Simple, Bolt-on Installation. Barricade engineered their winches to be a direct bolt-on upgrade that can be installed in under an hour using just basic hand tools. With overall dimensions of 22.17 × 6.38 × 7.72 inches and a mounting bolt pattern of 254mm X 114.3mm, there should be no drilling required for most applications. All necessary mounting hardware is included making this an easy straight forward installation.
Application. This Barricade 12,500 Pound HD Winch with Synthetic Rope and Wireless Control features a universal designed allowing for use on all Jeep Wrangler models. A battery with a minimum of 650cca (cold cranking amps) is required for operation.

Technical Note. To prevent damage to the synthetic rope from exposure to the sun and weather, this winch requires a cover when not in use. Winch cover not included – sold separately.
Installed on a RedRock4x4 Crawler Stubby bumper. The winch itself is super high quality and very well made. I was very impressed with the quality. However, the instructions were terrible. They were just a generic set of instructions for a Barricade Winch, not this specific one. The winch was also too big for my specific bumper. I had to cut part of the bumper Mount tab. The wires all Mount on the back of the winch and are pushed up against the grill as well. There is no way to get to the wires or cleanly route them after the bumper and wi ch is mounted. Overall, pretty happy with it though!
I haven’t maxed it out yet but it has some really cool features I didn’t expect!
The wired remote has screw on cable on both ends. If you remove it and put the metal cap on the handheld part IT WORKS WIRELESSLY!
Also it has a power switch on the backside that when you turn on the winch it has one LED on the top under the openable rubber top beside the Remote cable plug AND THREE MORE LED’s AIMING AT THE SPOOL!!
I can see this being extra handy on night wheeling and rescues!
