Easy to install. Works great and complements my bumper very well, really adds style.
The control box didn’t fit on top of my winch with the provided bracket. I built a small bracket and bolted the control box into my bumper. This is not the winches fault, it was just bigger than I thought. I’ve used the winch a couple times worked fine. There is about 5 feet at the end of the cable that is red telling you you’re at the end. I also flipped the plug in for the remote around to fit in my bumper, wasnt hard, just a couple of screws.
Love it, was easy to install wish it had instructions, also wish it had long cables to the battery as my battery is way at the back and barely reached.

Although the wench does fit into the DV8 recovery bumper I bought the handle which changes it to free spin mode is to big. This does not allow me to change it in and out of this mode freely, therefore I will either need to cut and access hole in the bumper or I will need to modify the handle to make it shorter. Other than this the wench seems sturdy enough and was easy to install. I did run it out and wind it back up, to take out the slack it had in it, and it worked great. I would suggest installing a second battery and upgrading the alternator so it doesn’t decrease your performance of other items, such as light bars.
